Kronish House saved!
Finally some good news from the preservation front! The Kronish House (1954) designed by Richard Neutra has been saved from the wrecking ball. It sold in April and the new owners wanted to demolish it. The overwhelming public outcry about this caused the Beverly Hills City Council to craft an ordinance to protect historically significant buildings.
Apparently the house has sold again (for $12.8 million) and the new owners are going to restore it.

Construction of "the Chair"
Interesting film about the construction of the famous chair designed by Hans Wegner and used in the Kennedy/Nixon tv debates.
